GORAN DRAGIĆ BASKETBALL CAMP IN LAŠKO FROM JUNE 29 TO JULY 5, 2025
OPENING OF REGISTRATIONS ON MONDAY, MARCH 24, 2025
This summer, the 11th Goran Dragić Basketball Camp will take place, marking the fifth consecutive year in Laško (at the Tri Lilije Sports Hall and the Thermana Park Laško Superior**** Hotel). Registrations for boys and girls born between 2010 and 2016 will open on Monday, March 24, at 6:00 PM.
As always, one of the greatest Slovenian basketball players of all time, Goran Dragić, will be present throughout the camp. Alongside him, a team of 17 coaches, 9 mentors, and an additional 10-member organizational crew will take care of the 140 participants.
The year 2025 will be another exciting one for Goran Dragić’s event organization in Slovenia, the Goran Dragić Foundation, and the company Spontanzo, following the remarkable success of 2024 and the fantastic event I Feel Slovenia Night of the Dragon.
We will organize four projects connected to the beloved Gogi: the annual basketball camp, the opening of two new outdoor basketball courts, and, as part of a special initiative, the donation of two personalized basketball wheelchairs to the Slovenian Paraplegic Association for para-basketball players.
NEW BASKETBALL COURTS IN ILIRSKA BISTRICA AND NOVA GORICA
After the renovation of outdoor basketball courts in Ljubljana (Tivoli, 2019), Maribor (Tabor, 2021), Laško (Marija Gradec, 2022), Novo mesto (Šolski center, 2022), Murska Sobota (OŠ I Murska Sobota, 2023), and Ptuj (Mestni stadion, 2024), two new Gogi courts under the #podamdaigram initiative will be unveiled in 2025.
The seventh court will be located in Ilirska Bistrica (near the municipal building on Bazoviška Road), and the eighth in Nova Gorica (in the border area between Nova Gorica and Gorizia).

Laško will host the 11th Goran Dragić Basketball Camp from Sunday, June 29, to Saturday, July 5, at the Thermana Park Superior**** Hotel and the renovated Tri Lilije Sports Hall.
PURCHASE OF TWO PERSONALIZED WHEELCHAIRS
In 2025, the Goran Dragić Foundation will provide funding for the purchase of two personalized, specialized wheelchairs for basketball. These wheelchairs will be given to two promising young players selected by the Slovenian Paraplegic Association, which is a partner in this project with Gogi’s foundation.

Goran ranks among all-time greats in Slovene sports. He has played in the NBA for 15 seasons, half of them for the Miami Heat. The excellent playmaker was the first Slovenian to participate in the NBA All-Star Game (2018). The Ljubljana native also secured eternal fame as the captain of the Slovenian national team, which, with him as captain, won the title of European champions at EuroBasket 2017. Goran Dragić concluded his basketball career with a spectacular two-day event, I Feel Slovenia Night of the Dragon. Through this event, Gogi, along with sponsors, partners, supporters, fans, and donors, raised an impressive €885,983 for the Botrstvo v športu program and the Goran Dragić Foundation.

“I have to thank my family and friends who have supported me throughout the years, stuck with me every step of the way through ups and downs and helped me become the person I am today. Great accomplishments do not happen by chance or overnight; they are a consequence of hard work, sacrifices, and hard trials and tribulations.
But at the end of the day, it is the built friendships and fond memories that have made everything worthwhile; especially now that I am in a position to offer guidance and provide our young hoopers with better opportunities to engage in sports.
I’ve set out on the mission to do just that with my basketball camp, the renovation of outdoor basketball courts throughout Slovenia and charity events sponsored by the Goran Dragić Foundation.
All children deserve equal opportunities to make their dreams come true, regardless of their social background or any limitations or impairments.

In 2021, Gogi and his team decided to organize a “real” basketball camp again after six years at Rogla and one year of the online camp during the Covid pandemic. The organizing team further improved, upgraded, and refreshed the camp.
The camp’s new location is Laško, in partnership with the Municipality of Laško, Thermana Park Laško Superior**** hotel, and the legendary Tri Lilije (Three Llilies) Hall.
Over 140 basketball players aged 9-15 will spend a wonderful, basketball-filled and varied week with Goran and a team of 17 coaches and 10 educators in 2025 – full of serious work, fun and surprises.
The camp in Laško will take place from Sunday, June 29, to Saturday, July 5, 2025.
Alongside basketball activities, the organizers have once again prepared an exciting, entertaining, and creative accompanying program for the participants. It promises seven unforgettable days with Gogi, his exceptional team, and friends.

This year, upwards of 130 male and female basketball players aged 9 to 15 will spend a wonderful, exciting basketball week full of serious work, fun, and surprises with Goran and a team of 17 coaches and nine educators.
The camp was held in Laško again, for the ninth time, from Sunday, July 9 to Saturday, July 15, 2023.
In addition to the basketball content, the organizers again prepared an attractive, fun, and creative accompanying program, a total of seven unforgettable days with Gogi and friends. The next year’s camp will be held from July 7 to July 13, 2024.
