Over 500 children registered for the 140 available spots at the Goran Dragić Basketball Camp, so please be advised that registrations are now closed.
All those who have filled in the application form will be informed in April about who will be selected for the camp and who will not.
For the Goran Dragić Foundation and Spontanzo, the organizer of Gogi’s events, the year 2024 will be, in a word, EXCEPTIONAL.
There are five Gogi-related events coming up.
RENOVATION OF THE BASKETBALL COURT IN PTUJ (June 2024)
After the renovation of outdoor basketball courts in Ljubljana (Tivoli, 2019), Maribor (Tabor, 2021), Laško (Marija Gradec, 2022), Novo mesto (Šolski center, 2022), Murska Sobota (OŠ I Murska Sobota, 2023), the sixth #podamdaigram smart court will be in Ptuj (next to the Kampus Sports Centre) in June 2024.
10TH ANNUAL GORAN DRAGIC BASKETBALL CAMP
Laško will host the tenth anniversary of the Goran Dragić Basketball Camp at the Thermana Park Supeior Hotel**** and the renovated Tri lilije Hall between Sunday, 30 June and Saturday, 6 July.
EVENTS TO CELEBRATE GORAN DRAGIĆ’S RETIREMENT FROM PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL
On Friday, 23 August, Ljubljana will host the Night of the Dragon gala charity event before Goran Dragic’s farewell game.
On Saturday, 24 August, Ljubljana’s Stožice Arena will host a spectacular charity exhibition game to bid farewell to Goran Dragić’s professional basketball career.
THE SLOVENIAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE CHARITY EVENT
In November, Goran Dragić will be the ambassador of the Slovenian Olympic Committee’s charity event to round off the year-long fundraising for the Botrstvo v športu programme (under the auspices of the Zveza prijateljev mladine Ljubljana Moste-Polje) and the Goran Dragić Foundation. 80% of the funds will be donated to Botrstvo v športu and 20% to Gogi’s charity foundation.

GORAN DRAGIĆ
Goran ranks among all-time greats in Slovene sports. He has played in the NBA for 15 seasons, half of them for the Miami Heat. The outstanding point guard was the first Slovenian to play in the NBA All-Star Game. The Ljubljana native also secured his eternal fame as he captained the Slovenian national team to the throne at the EuroBasket 2017. Gogi started the 2022/23 season with the Chicago Bulls team, and signed a contract with the Milwaukee Bucks in March. At the end of 2023, The Dragon has decided to end his career as a professional athlete.

“I have to thank my family and friends who have supported me throughout the years, stuck with me every step of the way through ups and downs and helped me become the person I am today. Great accomplishments do not happen by chance or overnight; they are a consequence of hard work, sacrifices, and hard trials and tribulations.
But at the end of the day, it is the built friendships and fond memories that have made everything worthwhile; especially now that I am in a position to offer guidance and provide our young hoopers with better opportunities to engage in sports.
I’ve set out on the mission to do just that with my basketball camp, the renovation of outdoor basketball courts throughout Slovenia and charity events sponsored by the Goran Dragić Foundation. All children deserve equal opportunities to make their dreams come true, regardless of their social background or any limitations or impairments. I believe that together with our partners we will be able to carry out many more charitable projects, thus contributing to a better future for our community. “

In 2021, Gogi and his team decided to organize a “real” basketball camp again after six years at Rogla and one year of the online camp during the Covid pandemic. The organizing team further improved, upgraded, and refreshed the camp.
The camp’s new location is Laško, in partnership with the Municipality of Laško, Thermana Park Laško Superior**** hotel, and the legendary Tri Lilije (Three Llilies) Hall.
140 basketball players aged 9-15 will spend a wonderful, basketball-filled and varied week with Goran and a team of 17 coaches and 9 educators in 2024 – for the fourth year in a row – full of serious work, fun and surprises.
The camp will take place in Laško again, for the 10th time in 2024, from Sunday 30 June to Saturday 6 July.
The organisers have once again prepared an attractive, fun and imaginative accompanying programme for the participants, alongside basketball activities, for a total of seven unforgettable days with Gogi and friends.

This year, upwards of 130 male and female basketball players aged 9 to 15 will spend a wonderful, exciting basketball week full of serious work, fun, and surprises with Goran and a team of 17 coaches and nine educators.
The camp was held in Laško again, for the ninth time, from Sunday, July 9 to Saturday, July 15, 2023.
In addition to the basketball content, the organizers again prepared an attractive, fun, and creative accompanying program, a total of seven unforgettable days with Gogi and friends. The next year’s camp will be held from July 7 to July 13, 2024.
